Basketball Recap: Crawford County Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Crawford County lost against Taylor County back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Crawford County Eagles opened the new year with a less-than-successful 49-38 defeat to the Taylor County Vikings. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Crawford County still got an impressive performance from Brandon Seay, who went 5 of 11 en route to 10 points.

It was another big night for Brayden Ellison, who posted 22 points for Taylor County. Another player making a difference was Ajavian Wilder, who put up eight points.

Crawford County's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-8. As for Taylor County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Marion County the next time they take the court. Taylor County will host Marion County at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Crawford County will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
