Baseball Recap: Idaho Falls Takes a Loss

Idaho Falls's last matchup with Blackfoot could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 13-3 to the Broncos. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Broncos: they've now lost six in a row.

Idaho Falls saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Morales, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Hudson Palmer also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Idaho Falls' loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Blackfoot, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Idaho Falls will venture away from home to square off against Hillcrest at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Blackfoot, they will be playing at home against Shelley at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Broncos are facing the Russets at the right time seeing as the Russets are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
