Volleyball Recap: Monterey Gets the Win + How To Watch

Monterey took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Hollister, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Dores won by a set and slipped past the Haybalers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Dores have posted since September 28, 2024.

Monterey found their leader in sophomore Drea Pham, who had eight digs and two aces.

Monterey was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

The win got Monterey back to even at 3-3. As for Hollister, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-3.

Monterey wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against St. Francis on the 13th. As for Hollister, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Palma at 6:00 p.m. on October 2.
