It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Madison ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies 11-10. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Kelcie Dudley was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off eight hits. Dudley was also solid in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Mara Klingbile was a standout: she went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She also snagged a stolen base, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Evie Lurz, who went 2-for-5 with one home run and two RBI.
