Baseball Game Preview: Morrow Mustangs vs. Spalding Jaguars

The Morrow Mustangs are taking a road trip to challenge the Spalding Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Morrow will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.

Morrow had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt M.L. King on Friday. Morrow blew past M.L. King 10-2. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by seven runs or more this season.

Zoran Galloway was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and four RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stole two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Donovan Dixon was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one triple.

Morrow was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They are undefeated (2-0) when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 17 runs the game before, Spalding was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against Rock Springs Christian Academy, falling 11-1.

Spalding's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Morrow, their win bumped their record up to 4-5-1.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Morrow has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Spalding struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
