Largo dropped down to 5-4 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 39-35 to the East Lake Eagles. Despite 105 more yards than the Eagles, the Packers couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Laderian Jackson threw for 117 yards and one TD on only ten passes. Rashad Smith was his top target, picking up 65 receiving yards.

As for East Lake, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.8 points over those games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Lake to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Millian, who threw for 255 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt, and also punched in one rushing score. What's more, Millian racked up 139.2 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Brian Ford helped Millian out on the ground, rushing for 113 yards and one score on only 12 carries, while also catching one TD.

Largo and East Lake should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Packers will face off against Northeast at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (146 vs. 320). Meanwhile, East Lake (ranked 111th) will meet Countryside (ranked 409th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
