The Morehead Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past North Forsyth 87-31 at home. Morehead has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 26 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Makel Smith, who scored 46 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jordan Chandler, who scored 12 points.

Morehead is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for North Forsyth, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morehead won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Magna Vista at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Magna Vista is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for North Forsyth, they will head out on the road to face off against Reidsville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Reidsville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 games -- so hopefully North Forsyth likes a good challenge.
