Basketball Recap: Summit View West Comes Up Short

Summit View West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Animo Leadership Aztec Eagles, falling 47-24. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 55-24 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Summit View West's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Animo Leadership, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Summit View West will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Animo City of Champions at 3:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Summit View West is facing Animo City of Champions at the right time seeing as Animo City of Champions is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Animo Leadership, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 70-22 defeat against Price on the 11th.
