Joel Bray and Duke Dengerink certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Bray scored 11 points along with five rebounds, while Dengerink scored six points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks. Dengerink hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for eight straight games.
The win got Chula Vista Learning Community Charter back to even at 6-6. As for Liberty Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chula Vista Learning Community Charter will take on Southern California Yeshiva at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Southern California Yeshiva is ranked 1136th, while Chula Vista Learning Community Charter is ranked 1157th). As for Liberty Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against High Tech NC at 6:30 p.m. High Tech NC is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
