Basketball Recap: Cibola Piles Up the Points Against Poston Butte

Cibola had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Poston Butte Broncos 63-23.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cibola to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaida Bosch, who posted 13 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Leona Faulks, who scored nine points and eight rebounds.

Cibola smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in six consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Cibola wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 42-40 victory against Sahuaro on the 24th. As for Poston Butte, they will head out on the road to square off against Walden Grove at 7:00 p.m. on December 2.
