The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Bluejays: they've now lost five in a row.

Hugoton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Cimarron, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bluejays beat Hugoton by a score of 3-2 later that day.
