Volleyball Game Preview: Raleigh Christian Academy Eagles vs. Southview Christian Conquerors

After both having extra time off, the Raleigh Christian Academy Eagles and the Southview Christian Conquerors will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Raleigh Christian Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Shining Light Academy as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on five straight.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Raleigh Christian Academy was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-7, 25-9.

Raleigh Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Jenna Hopkins, who had three digs and three aces. Hopkins is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season. Becki Harris was another key player, getting five digs and three aces.

Southview Christian not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 12th (when they won 3-0). They blew past Abundant Life Christian Academy 3-0. The Conquerors haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Southview Christian was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-19, 25-17.

Southview Christian's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Raleigh Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 16-1.
