Basketball Game Preview: Union Titans vs. Battle Ground Tigers

The Union Titans will venture away from home to challenge the Battle Ground Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Union is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Camas just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Papermakers.

Meanwhile, Battle Ground was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Skyview, falling 72-52. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 270th, while the Storm are ranked 57th).

Battle Ground's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Union came up short against Battle Ground in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 55-48. Can Union avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
