Soccer Recap: Upper Darby Takes a Loss

Upper Darby fought the good fight in their overtime game against Springfield on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Upper Darby of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Eric Varmie wasn't going to let Springfield walk away unscathed as he scored both of Upper Darby's goals, bringing his season total up to two goals.

Upper Darby now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Springfield, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Upper Darby didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Penncrest on the 4th. As for Springfield, they have also already played their next matchup, a 4-0 win against Ridley on the 4th.
