Jim Thorpe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 18-2 walloping at the hands of the Blue Mountain Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Jim Thorpe of the 17-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March.
Mara Levins was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-2 with a home run.
On Blue Mountain's side, Lindsay Gibson was incredible, going 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Labe, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.
