Basketball Recap: Tipton Cardinals vs. South Callaway Bulldogs
Tipton unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 56-45 to the South Callaway Bulldogs on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 62-60 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.
Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ben Bestgen, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Cashman, who posted five points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Tipton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-42 loss against Versailles on the 5th. South Callaway has also already played their next matchup, a 71-70 defeat against Camdenton on the 7th.
