Bayside and Titusville are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Bayside Bears will be playing at home against the Titusville Terriers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bayside is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Bayside fell victim to Melbourne and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Bears' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Titusville came up short against Rockledge on Wednesday, falling 22-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Terriers in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost nine in a row.

Titusville saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Roberts, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2. Those stolen bases marked the first that Roberts snagged this season.

Even though they lost, Titusville hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. This was only their first loss (out of three games) when they post two or more strikeouts.

Titusville's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Bayside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-3 record this season.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bayside has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Titusville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Bayside skirted past Titusville 3-1 in their previous matchup back in February. Does Bayside have another victory up their sleeve, or will Titusville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
