Appalachian strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against the Valley Head Tigers as they made off with a 49-28 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Appalachian found their leader in sophomore Colton Caldwell, who threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 36 yards.

Appalachian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 264 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 187 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Appalachian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Caleb Conn and Jaysen Tolbert.

Appalachian's record is now 10-0. As for Valley Head, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Appalachian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Shoals Christian at 7:00 p.m. on November 7. As for Valley Head, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Collinsville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
