Basketball Recap: Friendship Tech Prep Academy Skates Past King's Christian Academy with Ease

Friendship Tech Prep Academy waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the King's Christian Academy Eagles 100-39. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 21 points or more this season.

Friendship Tech Prep Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Bumpass, who posted 37 points along with six boards and four steals. With that strong performance, Bumpass is now averaging an impressive 18.3 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Bumpass, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten steals.

Despite the defeat, King's Christian Academy had strong showings from Kyle Kovich, who made all 7 shots he took racking up 16 points, and Abner Milam, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 11 points. Earl B. Edmonds was another key player, putting up five points and five rebounds.

Friendship Tech Prep Academy pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 97.7 points per game. As for King's Christian Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
