Basketball Recap: Mooreville Comes Up Short

Mooreville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 68-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shannon Red Raiders. The Troopers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Mooreville's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Shannon, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Mooreville will venture away from home to challenge East Webster at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shannon, they will host Itawamba Agricultural at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
