Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Zain Watson and Kris Foote Lead Clearwater to Victory

Clearwater was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against IMG Academy Gray on Saturday. The Clearwater Tornadoes blew past the IMG Academy Gray Ascenders 68-48. The Tornadoes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Clearwater to victory were Kris Foote and Zain Watson. Foote went 10 for 18 on his way to 27 points and five boards, while Watson almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine steals. With that strong performance, Foote is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. Another player making a difference was Keshawn Andrews, who posted eight points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Clearwater's record is now 10-3. As for IMG Academy Gray, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
