Basketball Recap: Hebron Hawks vs. DeMotte Christian Knights

Hebron had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 63-57 to the DeMotte Christian Knights. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Hebron still got an impressive performance from Peter Socci, who shot 45% from the field to rack up 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Spencer Wynsma, who posted 14 points and six boards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead DeMotte Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tony Bos, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds. Bos has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Tanyon Bakker was another key player, going 7-for-11 en route to 18 points.

Hebron has already played their next game, a 66-51 defeat against Kouts on the 28th. As for DeMotte Christian, they will welcome Oregon-Davis at 6:30 p.m. on the 4th.
