Basketball Recap: Jade Chavez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Barstow over Adelanto

Barstow played a tough match on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 67-46 to the Adelanto Saints. The Aztecs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Saints earlier this season, when they won 61-54.

Barstow lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jade Chavez, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Emersyn Ebel, who put up 14 points.

Barstow has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Adelanto, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barstow will face off against Victor Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Adelanto, they will venture away from home to challenge Granite Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Adelanto is facing Granite Hills at the right time seeing as Granite Hills is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
