Football Recap: Columbine Finds Playoff Glory Versus Fruita Monument + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Columbine had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Fruita Monument Wildcats 44-14. The victory was nothing new for the Rebels as they're now sitting on three straight.

Mark Snyder produced another solid performance rushing for 185 yards and two scores while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. He has become a key player for Columbine: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 3-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Frazier, who rushed for 107 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Columbine was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 484 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Columbine didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tavis McCatty and Jesse Adame.

When it comes to explaining why Fruita Monument lost, don't look at Max Unrien. Despite the final result, he rushed for 63 yards and one TD, and also caught one score.

Columbine now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Fruita Monument, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Coming up, Columbine will face off against Ralston Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven contests. Fruita Monument does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
