Soccer Game Preview: Mercersburg Academy vs. Hill School

Mercersburg Academy is 1-7-1 against Hill School since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Storm will look to defend their home pitch against the Rams at 1:00 p.m. Mercersburg Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Hill School better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Mercersburg Academy's game on Thursday is any indication, that's when Mercersburg Academy really gets things going. The Storm never let Cumberland Valley Christian get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. Given Mercersburg Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 39th, while Cumberland Valley Christian are ranked 192nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mercersburg Academy hit Cumberland Valley Christian with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Gustavo Santana (2), Felipe Pepe, and Simon Brennan.

Meanwhile, Hill School didn't have quite enough to beat Hun on Saturday and fell 3-2.

Hill School's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for Mercersburg Academy, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
