Recap: Lincoln Trojans vs. Leon Lions

The Lincoln Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 35 points or more this season. They really took it to Leon for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-15 win on the road. That looming 61-15 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Lincoln yet this season.

Jamia Brown continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Those eight steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Jamiya Brown, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and six steals.

The victory (which was Lincoln's fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.2 points per game. As for Leon, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Thomasville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Thomasville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 297th in Georgia, while Lincoln is ranked 131st in Florida). Leon will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Maclay at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th.
