Basketball Recap: Columbia Triumphs

Columbia hadn't done well against Kalama recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Columbia Bruins walked away with a 70-58 win over the Kalama Chinooks. This was a revenge game for the Bruins: when they faced off against the Chinooks back in December of 2024, they had to take a 74-50 loss.

Columbia now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Kalama, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-7.

Columbia will venture away from home to square off against La Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Columbia knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully La Center likes a good challenge. As for Kalama, they will square off against Fort Vancouver at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Fort Vancouver's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.
