Football Game Preview: Tyner Academy Rams vs. Chattanooga Central Pounders

The Tyner Academy Rams will take on the Chattanooga Central Pounders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Tyner Academy's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Chattanooga Central has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Tyner Academy's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 40-0 win over Brainerd. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Chattanooga Central fell victim to Chattanooga Prep and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Sentinels, falling 32-0. While losing is never fun, the Pounders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 317th, while the Sentinels are ranked 120th).

Tyner Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Chattanooga Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
