It's playoff time, and Mountain Empire had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Preuss UCSD Tritons on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Redhawks sure are getting used to it with their 11th in a row.

Mountain Empire never let Preuss UCSD on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17, 25-22.

Kailey Quintana paced Mountain Empire's offense, picking up 11 kills. Quintana got some help from Breeza Valdez and her 19 assists. Rowan Smith controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Mountain Empire's win bumped their record up to 26-7. As for Preuss UCSD, with the loss, they broke their seven-match winning streak and moved their record to 16-12.

Coming up, Mountain Empire will challenge O'Farrell Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Preuss UCSD does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
