Football Recap: Shawnee Mission East Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Shawnee Mission East's last matchup with Shawnee Mission Northwest could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Lancers were outmatched by the Cougars and fell 48-21. The loss continues a trend for the Lancers in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost six in a row.

Vince Kopp threw for 76 yards on six of 12 attempts.

Traimyre Woodruff had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 249 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries for Shawnee Mission Northwest. Woodruff is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Demetric Tyler was another key player, rushing for 52 yards and one score.

Shawnee Mission East's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Shawnee Mission Northwest, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.
