Softball Game Preview: Harvest Community Warriors vs. Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors

The Harvest Community Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Harvest Community's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last five contests.

Harvest Community's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Parker 26-0. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by nine runs or more this season.

Meredith Harmer made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

In other batting news, Marley Elliott was incredible, firing off three triples, four runs, and two stolen bases while going 4-for-4. Those three triples gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Reding, who scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Trinity Christian Academy's offense. They came up short against Union County on Monday, falling 10-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Conquerors were not able to get on the board.

Trinity Christian Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Arianna Menendez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Harvest Community pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.9 runs over those games. As for Trinity Christian Academy, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-7 record.
