Shallowater is 10-0 against Roosevelt since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Shallowater Mustangs will host the Roosevelt Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Roosevelt took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Shallowater, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Shallowater blew past Muleshoe, posting an 84-23 victory. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt entered their game against Slaton on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Roosevelt was outmatched by Slaton and fell 67-36. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 633rd, while the Tigers are ranked 215th).

Roosevelt's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-10. As for Shallowater, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.

Everything came up roses for Shallowater against Roosevelt in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the squad secured an 87-49 victory. Does Shallowater have another victory up their sleeve, or will Roosevelt turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
