Basketball Recap: Arlington Heights Comes Up Short

After flying high against Polytechnic last Thursday, Arlington Heights came back down to earth. The Arlington Heights Yellowjackets came up short against the Skyline Raiders on Friday, falling 82-62. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Yellowjackets came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Raiders are ranked 653rd).

Arlington Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Skyline, they moved to 6-11 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Arlington Heights will venture away from home to take on South Hills at 1:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Arlington Heights knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully South Hills likes a good challenge. As for Skyline, they will square off against Mesquite at 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Skyline is facing Mesquite at the right time seeing as Mesquite is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
