Basketball Game Preview: Chester Volcanoes vs. Los Molinos Bulldogs

The Chester Volcanoes will face off against the Los Molinos Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Thursday, Chester came up short against Quincy and fell 42-35. While the Volcanoes didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trojans 15-11 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Los Molinos ended up a good deal behind Redding Christian on Tuesday and lost 46-30.

Chester will have to contain Natalie Martinez as she made an impact in Los Molinos' last game. She posted 15 points. That was a full 50% of Los Molinos' points, marking the tenth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Chester has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season. As for Los Molinos, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

Chester came up short against Los Molinos in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 35-30. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Martinez, who had 25 points.
