Volleyball Recap: Shawsheen Valley Tech Takes a Loss

The Shawsheen Valley Tech Rams lost 3-0 to the Billerica Memorial Indians on Friday.

Shawsheen Valley Tech took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-18, 25-19.

Billerica Memorial was led to victory by Jenna Krinopol and Meghan Downs. Krinopol had seven aces and four digs, while Downs hit 55.6% for five kills and six digs and three aces. Downs is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last six games she's played. Ryan Domina also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Shawsheen Valley Tech's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Billerica Memorial, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.

As of now, neither Shawsheen Valley Tech nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
