Basketball Recap: Academy of the Pacific Rim Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Academy of the Pacific Rim unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 61-53 to the Neighborhood House Charter Legends on Wednesday. Academy of the Pacific Rim just can't catch a break and has now endured five defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Neighborhood House Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayden Docanto, who posted 22 points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Fletcher, who scored nine points and six steals.

The win got Neighborhood House Charter back to even at 2-2.

Academy of the Pacific Rim does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Neighborhood House Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against South Shore Charter Public at 4:30 p.m.
