Sevier County took an eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Anderson County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Smoky Bears sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Mavericks on Thursday. While the Smoky Bears didn't have the best season last year (they finished 16-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Sevier County's record is now 9-6. As for Anderson County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.

Sevier County will challenge Clinton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Anderson County, they will face off against Powell at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
