Richmond gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Leadership Public Schools Richmond Pumas 56-12. The Oilers haven't had any issues with the Pumas recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Richmond had a senior duo take command as Valerie Fierros posted 15 points and Perla Hernandez had 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamielyn Hardy, who put up six points.

Leadership Public Schools Richmond's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2.

Coming up, Richmond won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against California School for the Deaf at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Leadership Public Schools Richmond, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on California Crosspoint at 4:00 p.m. on December 2.
