Soccer Recap: Diamond Ranch Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ontario last Friday, Diamond Ranch came back down to earth. The Diamond Ranch Panthers fell just short of the Chaffey Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Panthers couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Saul Lopez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Diamond Ranch has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5-4 record this season. As for Chaffey, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 2-11-2 record.

Diamond Ranch will head out on the road to take on Don Lugo at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Diamond Ranch is facing Don Lugo at the right time seeing as Don Lugo is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Chaffey, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Chaffey duke it out with the Ontario at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
