Baseball Recap: Conard Comes Up Short

Conard fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Farmington on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the River Hawks by a score of 6-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Red Wolves in their meetings with the River Hawks: they've now lost four in a row.

Conard's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Farmington, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Conard will square off against rival Avon at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Farmington is set to face off against their familiar foe Northwest Catholic at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
