Baseball Recap: Manchester Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Glastonbury, Manchester was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They never let the Cheney Tech Chargers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Red Hawks haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Angel Rodriguez was incredible, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ethan Ramsdel, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Manchester always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cheney Tech only posted an OBP of .059.

Manchester's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Cheney Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Manchester will be playing in front of their home fans against Avon at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Cheney Tech, they are taking a road trip to take on Prince RVT at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
