Pascagoula never let their opponents score on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Hancock Hawks 35-0. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four games by 33 points or more so far this season.

Amarie Jackson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 195 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Those 195 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Norvel, who rushed for 89 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Pascagoula was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 330 rushing yards. They are 4-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Pascagoula's defense stepped up as well, laying out Kaison Koenenn five times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece. Pascagoula got some further help from Creevy Harness: he picked up a sack and made six total tackles (4.0 for loss).

The victory (which was Pascagoula's third in a row) raised their record to 4-5. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.7 points on average over those games. As for Hancock, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Coming up, Pascagoula will take on Gautier at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Gators at the right time seeing as the Gators are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Hancock, they will face off against Long Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks will be up against the Bearcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.67 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
