Preview: Bell Bulldogs vs. Interlachen Rams
The Bell Bulldogs on the road again on Friday and play against the Interlachen Rams at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Bell suffered their biggest loss since December 29, 2023 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 62-28 loss at the hands of Saint Francis Catholic. Bell has struggled against Saint Francis Catholic recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Interlachen came up short against Oak Hall on Thursday and fell 49-42.
Despite the defeat, Interlachen saw an underclassman step up: Kemontae Nixon scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. Nixon hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Bean, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Bell's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Interlachen, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.
Bell was taken down by Interlachen 68-22 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bell was down 49-18.
