Volleyball Recap: Westmont Hilltop Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Westmont Hilltop came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Richland Rams, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Hilltoppers in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16, 25-20.

Sarah Gibbons paced Westmont Hilltop's offense, picking up eight kills. Gibbons got some help from Isabella Thomas and her 17 assists. Finally, Gibbons was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Among those leading the charge was Hailey Buck, who had seven digs and one assist.

Westmont Hilltop's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Richland, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2-2 record this season.

Westmont Hilltop wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Bishop Guilfoyle on the 17th. As for Richland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Penn Cambria on the 18th.
