Softball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the Notre Dame Prep Saints. If the Coyotes were looking for revenge after losing 5-1 to the Saints when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Riley Moncrieff was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-1. As for Notre Dame Prep, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centennial will challenge Alhambra at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Notre Dame Prep will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chaparral at 6:00 p.m. on March 17th.
