Volleyball Recap: West Central Comes Up Short

West Central lost against South Central back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trojans lost 3-0 to the Satellites.

While West Central ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-19.

Alana Kasten paced West Central's offense, picking up nine kills. Kasten got some help from Kyra Leman and her 21 assists. Kasten also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kandece Deutscher, racking up three apiece.

West Central now has a losing record of 6-7. As for South Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7.

Looking ahead, West Central will challenge Rensselaer Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Central, they will face off against Tri-Township at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
