Volleyball Recap: Acadiana Christian Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Victory

Acadiana Christian extended their winning streak to eight on Friday, bumping them up to 9-0-1. They blew past the Acadiana Home School Athletics Commandos 3-0. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Commandos, too.

Acadiana Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Yvette Olivier led the charge by getting 22 assists. Olivier has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 24 times she's played. Addison Boudreaux was another key player, getting ten digs and one assist.

Acadiana Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in eight consecutive contests.

As for Acadiana Home School Athletics, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-5. As for they, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.

Despite the loss, Acadiana Home School Athletics still got an impressive performance from Julia West, who had 14 kills, eight digs, and three aces.
