Given North Brunswick's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while Heide Trask is ranked 511th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Brunswick to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dari?elle Young, who scored 9 points along with 5 assists. Young has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Adrianna Gomez, who scored 10 points along with 3 steals.
The win makes it two in a row for North Brunswick and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for Heide Trask, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
North Brunswick will head out on the road to face off against Hoggard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hoggard will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Heide Trask will be home for the holidays to greet West Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
