Recap: Tuscola Mountaineers vs. Andrews Wildcats
The Tuscola Mountaineers were the 49-44 winner over the Andrews Wildcats when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Tuscola took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Andrews on Thursday.
Despite the loss, Tuscola still got an impressive performance from Nora Jenkins, who scored 21 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Jenkins scored a full 44.7% of Tuscola's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Karsen Cherry, who scored 6 points along with 11 rebounds and 4 steals.
Tuscola's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Andrews, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Tuscola will head out on the road to face off against Andrews at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Andrews, they will look to defend their home court against Tuscola at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Tuscola focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Thursday.
