The Saxony Lutheran Crusaders's game on Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They claimed a resounding 64-25 win over Greenville on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Saxony Lutheran has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Saxony Lutheran to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abigail Haley, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 steals. Haley set a new season high mark in steals with 15. The team also got some help courtesy of Evie Caruso, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 rebounds.
Saxony Lutheran now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Greenville, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Saxony Lutheran will look to defend their home court on Thursday against New Madrid County Central at 7:30 p.m. New Madrid County Central is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Greenville won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Van Buren at 5:00 p.m. on December 12th. Van Buren is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
